BIG MAC'S WHOLLY SOUL BAND

A 12 piece Classic Soul Band who have been together since 1990 and have played not only all over the UK, including The Marquee Club, The Café Royal, The Rock Garden, Boomtown Festival, Upton Blues, The Dorchester,  The ICC,  but also in Vienna, Cairo, Tenerife, Germany and Dublin. Such far reaching appeal is witness to the band’s adaptability and versatility.

They have supported or shared the bill with acts such as Billy Ocean, Edwin Starr, Jools Holland, Van Morrison, Earth Wind & Fire, Sister Sledge, Omar, Gabrielle, Jimmy James, The Real Thing, Odyssey, Craig Charles, Ruby Turner, Gwen Dickey (Rose Royce),The Commitments, Sheila Ferguson (The Three Degrees), Pato Banton, The Pasadenas, Jaki Graham and many more.

Appearances on TV and radio, touring, playing, rehearsing and performing have all served to polish the bands act, repertoire and musicianship without ever diminishing its energy and enthusiasm. There are a great number of bands possessing a similar set and structure but none with such inspired authenticity. As awed members of The Commitments said of Big Mac himself;  ‘We’ve found Wilson Pickett!’

From its very beginning the band has been immensely popular, building a rock solid reputation.
